Me

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Jamie. I'm an actor, singer, and teaching artist based in

Brooklyn, New York. I was raised in Wilton, CT with my four siblings, who doubled as castmates in the home-made "theater" in the room above our garage. I am wildly fortunate to have a family that fostered my musical education and imagination throughout my childhood, as it has molded me into the artist that I am today.

I am a proud a graduate of The University of Connecticut BFA Acting program ('22). There I developed a passion for physical theater, stage combat, and clowning. Captivated by movement studies at school, I was inspired me to earn my yoga instruction license in 2019. As I continued my education in both subjects, I am still surprised by how one often informs the other when we return to the core of each; the union of the mind, body, and soul. 

While at UConn, I spent a semester studying at Theatre Academy London as well as two months at Shakespeare & Company's Summer Conservatory, working with heightened text and falling in love with language. I delighted in the decoding of the foreign text that is old-er English. Inspired by the poetry that was regular speech, moved by the way it demands the entire body to participate.
